Iron Mann -- 2015 Knabstrupper filly
"Darla" -- Colorado Skrodstrup x Cape by Confetti
$16,000
"Darla" is an incredibly athletic young horse who will excel in the right hands. She was professionally started under saddle and is learning to jump crossrails and small verticals. Smart, athletic, willing, Darla is suitable for a capable amateur or would be a fun ride for a professional. Always first to the gate and always interested in participating. Darla has dabbled in trail riding, field trips to other farms, and bridleless w/t/c. She loves it all. The world is her oyster.
Darla placed second in the Future Event Horse East Coast Championship for yearling fillies. She has also traveled to local shows and qualified for the USDFBC finals as a foal, earning Reserve champion foal and the blue ribbon in the current year fillies at Raleigh Summer Dressage I. Trailers, bathes, good for the farrier.
Her sire, Colorado Skrodstrup, stands at Avalon Equine, http://www.avalon-equine.com/colorado.html. His outstanding character, athleticism and sometimes unique color (but not for Darla!!) pass to his offspring. Jumping, dressage, he's quite an athlete.
Darla's dam, Cape by Confetti, competed in eventing and jumpers. I understand she was a school horse at some of the local colleges or boarding schools. A unique cross of appaloosa and standardbred, she passes her movement and scope -- and an exceptionally easy and agreeable mare in the barn.
